The Cheney United Church of Christ is a local congregation affiliated with the United Church of Christ denomination.  Our local church was founded in 1881 by eight charter members and became an affiliated UCC church in 1961 when the Congregational Church voted to join the UCC.  Our congregation is made up of 150 members and friends who participate and add to our strength.  As Christians, we welcome differing viewpoints and beliefs and respect the dignity of all who share their faith with us.  We believe that “God is still speaking,” and that our faith changes and grows as we learn and gain experience throughout our lives.  If you are a Christian, but have been alienated by fundamentalist rigidity or intolerant beliefs, this is the place for you.  Join us as a member, a friend or just for a day, and you will soon see how easy it is to fit right in.
